Gem Silica & 18k Gold Ring

Description This is a beautiful 18k solid gold ring with a nice darker blue Peruvian Gem Silica cabochon. It is a simple but elegant design with a fine twisted wire surrounding the bezel. The band has two rows of twisted wire around the circumference. The Peruvian Gem Silica in this ring is top-grade pure translucent material.  I was only able to source this gem material once about 7 or 8 years ago at a gem show.   Most of the material I saw had an unpleasant “pond scum” green mix in it and was really not worthy of my consideration.   This piece is pure blue and similar to the finest American mined material.  (see link below for more info on Gem Silica) The ring at its widest point is approx. 7/16” wide (at the front – measured from top to bottom) and the band is approx. 1/8” wide at the back (see photo with older U.S. dime for size/scale).
